Rogers vs Bell - who's to know?

I decided recently that I wanted to upgrade my Internet connection. So I called Rogers, my current provider, and was again astonished at the ridiculous rates and commitments needed to get anywhere with telecommunications. To even change my current plan I have to lock in with Rogers for Internet for a year. Seriously!?! I do not understand customer service today. I have been a Rogers client for over 5 years; is there no respect for long term customers? Do these companies really think that by "locking" people in it will stop them from moving on?

Well, after doing some research, it looks like Bell has stepped up its game and is very competitive in the market place for Internet and Cable now. This was not the case when I went to get these services when I moved into my house, but I am very inclined to move to Bell now. I will be evaluation exactly how much Rogers is going to charge me to break my contract with them - because they are sucking - and probably move over. I truly think loyalty to a company/brand should mean something and clearly, Rogers does not feel like it owes its long time clients anything. So, I feel no loyalty to them and will now be looking out for the best lowest prices I can find.

Here I go...

Are you SERIOUS??? have you not learned anything from my BELL RANTS? Bell sucks just as badly...seriously...REALLY think about this before switching. I really don't think any provider is perfect...if Rogers gives you a better deal when you threaten to leave stay with them. Ask to speak to the loyalty dept..the CSR's you first get on the phone can't do squat...OK..I'm done LOL -HEIDI

OMG!!! Rogers is taking over the world!!! They even know when you post something about them on your blog...weird!!!
Anyway, I have been with both and Rogers def sucks less than Bell. At least with Rogers, if you go to the retention department, you will get good deals...especially if they know you are serious about leaving.
And if they don't give you the deal you want, you can always drop Mary's name......
