What the heck?

I seriously don't understand celebrities. Well I suppose it is not just celebrities; I should have said especially celebrities. Do you need to have absolutely everything? Is having almost everything not enough? Given, I do not know a single celebrity, nor do I know or understand their lives, situations or quirks - but, seriously if you have open possibilities and every opportunity why do you need to be such a sketchy character? Jesse James for example, married to Sandra Bullock (I'm a big fan) successful business, fun job, lots of admirers - do you really need to cheat? Don't get married if you have a sex problem, which I'm not saying he does. I happen to think that's just a way for celebrities to say to the general public that their working on their "problems". In my opinion it is more their publicist telling them you need to do something to save your reputation so you can continue making your millions. But really, figure it out one time people.

I heart Sandra Bullock - hang in there!

For the runners out there

I was recently introduced to a website called http://www.mapmyrun.com/. What a cool site. For those runners out there you'll know that finding new routes to run is sometimes a challenge and there is nothing worse than running the same routes all the time. Mapmyrun.com sources runs for you, where you live and how ever long you want to run. Depending on what level of membership you choose as well, for me the free kind, but for others who will pay there are tons of features. You can track your progress, make fitness plans and more.

Even for the thrifty out there who do go for the free membership there are a lot of fun things to check out.

Yum Yum

I went to Cora's this morning for breakfast; what great food they have! I had a skillet with bacon ham, tons of veg, a scrambled egg on top of roast potatoes. So yummy! What a gold mine that franchise must be!

Repo Men

Bad bad bad.
Put it this way, someone in the theatre stopped breathing and had to be taken out in an ambulance.
Bad bad bad.

Rant of the day: Motorcycles

Not just any motorcycles, just the noisy ones. What the heck? Because they're not loud enough you need to go and make them more noisy? OK Harley's etc - noisy already, but I swear some are made to be even more noisy then usual. I think they should get tickets for noise violations or disturbing the peace. Now that the nice weather has hit I feel like the bikes have come out of the wood work! Is there any good reason why the ground should shake and you nearly go deaf when one drives by? I can't think of one.

Roll up the Rim!

It is that time of year again and what started off with cheering, high spirits and a hopeful outlook toward spring has turned into a depressing huge gaping hole of despair and rejection.

Of 23 coffees, 1 donut. What the heck Tim Horton's, what the heck!?!

Oscars 2010

Well I wouldn't be me if I didn't dish a little on the outfits at this year's Oscars. I have to say, overall - not so impressed by the selections this year. I would even say a little boring. Regardless, here we go!

Sarah Jessica Parker's dress was bar none my favourite of the night (and it isn't just because she is my favourite anyway) The back of this dress is even more stunning. Gorgeous!

Sandra Bullock looked fantastic! This look was very old Hollywood and I just love it!

I'm not quite sure what Dianne was thinking but I would like to think it was "my stylist is fired".

I'm not sure what she is smiling about. Not her dress that's for sure.

Lesson: all the money in the world cannot buy taste.

Rogers vs Bell - who's to know?

I decided recently that I wanted to upgrade my Internet connection. So I called Rogers, my current provider, and was again astonished at the ridiculous rates and commitments needed to get anywhere with telecommunications. To even change my current plan I have to lock in with Rogers for Internet for a year. Seriously!?! I do not understand customer service today. I have been a Rogers client for over 5 years; is there no respect for long term customers? Do these companies really think that by "locking" people in it will stop them from moving on?

Well, after doing some research, it looks like Bell has stepped up its game and is very competitive in the market place for Internet and Cable now. This was not the case when I went to get these services when I moved into my house, but I am very inclined to move to Bell now. I will be evaluation exactly how much Rogers is going to charge me to break my contract with them - because they are sucking - and probably move over. I truly think loyalty to a company/brand should mean something and clearly, Rogers does not feel like it owes its long time clients anything. So, I feel no loyalty to them and will now be looking out for the best lowest prices I can find.

Here I go...
